Rudolf Brushiwitz had been interviewing possible security guards all day. Everyone had a stunning resume and many willing to speak on how well they would fit in the building as security. Rudolf wasn't impressed by anyone coming in,"I shouldn't have to hire someone to snoop around my business, and pay them out of my pocket, its a big steaming pile of bull if you ask me,"he thought to himself as he sat in his office waiting for the next interview.
Rudolf watched the clock like a child waiting for the last bell.He had already came to terms that if any were late they automatically wouldn't receive the job. It was his easy way of making his paper work lighter."You got one minute.." he looked at the clock and counted the seconds,"Ten...Twenty....Thirty..." He began collecting the paperwork from those on time when he herd a knock on the door.
He looked up,"With ten seconds to spare.Come on in." Rudolf took a seat and put his hand out for a handshake,"Names Rudolf,I'm the owner of the building,Are you Mr.Baxtor?" He shook his hand and head at the same time. "So what makes you qualified for the job?" Rudolf asked. "Well I worked security for clubs and bars when I was younger.Once I received my armed guards license I started working for banks and apartment complexes." Rudolf shook his head without emotion and asked the next question,"Are you familiar with what has happen for me to look for security?" Clifford Baxtor knew exactly why he was looking for security but he didn't want him to know that his cousin had been a victim due to his lack of security. He shook his head no and allowed Rudolf to speak,"Well a man was shot and he died in the hospital due to the injuries and a woman tried to jump off the ledge.I don't want any incidents to occur in my building Mr.Baxtor.I'm sick of it,its drawing too much attention to us.Next inspectors and cops and more will be snooping around my building and ruin everything I've built-"Rudolf stopped himself before he allowed important information to slip. Clifford felt a knot in his stomach as he realized his cousin who he loved and cherished was just a man who was shot and died in the hospital. Clifford couldn't show emotion so he acted like he didn't care.Truth was all he really wanted the job for was to get closer to Minnie and the girls,"Well the way I plan to make the building secure is with silence and only watching those who are suspicious. But my plan has nothing to do with snooping unless you tell me to snoop on someone." Rudolf smiled,"I like that, you know, your the first person to say that all day." Clifford smiled, knowing in his gut that he was in. Rudolf shuffled papers on his desk, then handed one to Clifford. He looked over the paper it was a layout of the whole complex with each tenants name on it. Clifford thanked him,but thought to himself,"Wow that was easy. Now i know exactly where Minnie and the girls are." Rudolf spoke,"Well Mr.Baxtor your hired,If you want you could stay in an apartment that's open,it says here that your from Georgia.New City is a long way from home, but i know what its like I'm from Russia myself." Clifford couldn't believe it and thought,"This man is so nice,it really is a shame that I cant be honest with him." Rudolf continued,"Well we could go over everything tomorrow, In a few days I'm going to hold a meeting and you could meet everyone and introduce yourself okay?" Clifford shook his head in agreeance.
Clifford and Rudolf exchanged goodbyes. Rudolf sat in his office and thought,"Great kid,He better just stay out of my business.Soon everything will be clear."Rudolf laughed then began to write the letter he intended to hand out and post in the building.
"NOTICE TO ALL TENANTS,Alot has occurred in the building that has caused me to create new rules and regulations. Thus there will be a mandatory meeting in the main lobby on Friday. If you do not attend and you haven't informed me there will be serious consequences for your actions. Remember that this building isn't just your residence but your home and you should be interested in everything that pertains to it. -Rudolf Brushiwitz Management"
