Officer Adrine Perez (pt 1)

*Buzz*Buzz* A cellphone vibrated a quarter past daybreak in Officer Adrine Perez' Apartment in New City. In his line of work it wasn't uncommon for his phone to go off at this time, but he would prefer if it didn't. Rolling over in his King size bed to his cellphone he answered, "Some one better be dead." -Silence- He looked at the caller ID and it read Rudolf Brushiwitz(landlord). Realizing how impolite he was, "I'm sorry Mr.Brushiwitz my manners aren't to great at this hour." A raspy voice with a slight Russian accent replied, "Its okay Officer, I just wanted to ask you if you know anything about our newest tenants." Adrine knew exactly who they were but couldn't out right say it, "No,who are they?" Rudolf continued, "Well there's four of them the husbands name is Charlie Monroe,The wife is Minerva but he calls her Minnie,And their daughters Suzette and Abigale.I think the wife and daughters are in trouble,Charlie isn't such a great looking guy, they claimed to be homeless and looking into those little girls eyes i couldn't deny them a home." Adrine knew that Charlie was a well known drug dealer in New City and had been accused of touching his daughters and of beating Minnie for years, but he replied without reveling his knowledge, "You do a standard background check of each tenant, Correct?" "yes, but it hasn't came in yet, not until Monday they said." "Well Mr.Brushiwitz all i can say is wait, I mean i wish i could do more for you but I'm sorry i cant, without evidence." They said their goodbyes and Adrine placed his phone on the nightstand and layed in his bed. Adrine felt horrible that he couldn't do more, being a cop gave him the knowledge Mr.Brushiwitz needed to give the apartment to Minnie and the girls without Charlie. The only problem was that Adrine knew Charlie was the breadwinner, and Minnie Susie and Abby wouldn't survive without him. Adrine looked at the clocks red numbers from across the room and realized he didn't have to be at work for another four hours. So he closed his honey brown eyes and returned to sleep...
"Where am I?" He said sitting in a dark club, there had to be about one hundred people scattered throughout the club. There was a stage with a spot light, someone was standing there, but he was too far to see anything but a human figure. "I gotta get closer." He made his way to the stage, gently pushing anyone or anything out of his path.He looked up, It was a woman in a red Spanish style dress and a rose in her light brown curly hair just above her ear."Shes gorgeous." Adrine was in the front row, the woman looked right into his eyes and began to speak,"The reddest rose could not compare,To the love we share.Given the opportunity would you bare,Your soul to me without care. You and I could be the perfect pair,if you choose your heart to share...... Suddenly his attention was to an elderly woman on the side of him who was watching the woman attentively, "Grandma?" The elderly woman looked at him with Blue eyes nearly crying and smiled..
Adrine woke up startled,His grandmother had died ten months ago. Shaking his head he looked at the clock across the room and realized he had two hours before work. "Might as well get up." Adrine Perez was one of the few Hispanic Officers in the area, With his Caramel skin and modest 5'9'' muscular stature, he wasn't someone you wouldn't notice. If you didn't know him you would think he was one of the hardest mother fuckers alive, but if you did you would know he was a sweetheart and was always eager to help someone in need. Adrine couldn't stop thinking about his dream, "who was she? Why did she look directly at me? Were her words for me? She looks so familiar,I wonder if Ive met her before." Adrine asked himself those questions over and over while he got ready for work. He grabbed his coat and keys then grasped the door knob and opened it and said, "She was beautiful,Id wife that." He laughed to himself and stepped out into the hallway of New City Apartment Complex and locked his door. Walking briskly he herd the elevator door open, "Hold the elevator." when he finally reached it a woman stood with her back turned gathering her luggage made way for the hallway. Adrine checked her out as he did with anyone he didn't readily recognize in the building and noticed her luggage had a airport tag that said Paris,France. He asked, "Do you need help miss?" She put all her luggage in the hallway and said with a Spanish accent,"A bit formal don't you think" Confused Adrine replied,"Excuse me?" she stepped out into the hallway and the doors began to close and she looked at him, finally. It was her, the woman from his dream. As the elevator went to the first floor, he screamed to himself, "WHAT WAS HER NAME!!!!!"...
